Lithium ion battery pack production process

Abstract:

Lithium ion battery pack production process generally includes 10 main assembly steps and QC steps.

Each battery pack will be fully tested and before shipping out.

Lithium ion battery pack production process flow

Incomming Material QC | Step 1

Full Inspection: Charger, Housings.

AQL Sopt Inspection: Battery cells, BMS, Nickel sheet, cell frame..etc.

Cell Sorting | Step 2

Each battery cell will do voltage & Resistane sorting to make sure the battery cell voltage and inner resistance are in high consistency.

Cell Composing | Step 3

Composing the cells together in cell frame,
cell frame is good for heat dissipation and better structure strength.

Cell Welding | Step 4

Manual Welding Machine: Welding the cells into various serial and parallel and form a battery pack manully, this way for sample & small quantity order.

Automatic Welding Machine: Welding the cells into various serial and parallel and form a battery pack automaticlly, this way for high quantity order.

Wiring & Soldering | Step 5

Wiring and slodering the BMS to the battery pack.

Insulation | Step 6

Use insolative Paper/PVC/Epoxy plate to wrap the battery pack for electricity insulation purpose.

Aging QC Test | Step 7

Each battery will do aging test;
Aging test means to do full charge/discharge cycle to see the battery pack performance and keep all performance data for tracking.

Housing Assembly | Step 8

Put the aged lithium battery pack into the plastic/metal housing.

Comprehensive QC Test | Step 9

Each battery will do comprehensive test before packing to double check the battey charge/discharge/BMS funciton.

Packing | Step 10

Put lithium ion battery pack into UN box or regular box, then stack on the pallet.
